Dear Friends and Family,
Even though in British Columbia and Canada we are suffering from the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic mostly caused by the Delta variant Britain has opened up and is allowing visitors without having to go into quarantine and maybe even without having to have a SARS-CoV-2 virus test prior to entry. (There is a change announced for October 4th)
Thankfully as of October 1st the fourth Delta wave is beginning to subside.
So it is time to travel again! We will go to Ottawa on October 4th, to visit grandchildren and then have arranged a Thanksgiving weekend at a ski-lodge (AirBnB) at Tremblant with all the family. Penny then returns to Ottawa to spend another week with the grand daughters and I head to London on 11th from Montreal.
This year there will be no side trip to Europe. I will spend most of the time at my sister's farm near Canterbury and attend many events of the Canterbury Festival.
I will stay at the Travellers Club in London, meet up with a niece, visit a cousin in Nottingham, travel to Canterbury for the festival, then two days in Cambridge visiting a public health colleague who was an undergraduate at the same time as me, then to Arkley in north London to visit Penny's brother and family before returning to Canterbury for the last few days of the festival.
Welcome to this Blog which will be a diary of my trip. With ones aging brain one needs to keep a record to recover ones memories in the future!😊
Since I last created a Blog two years ago I am impressed as to how the features of Blogger have been improved.
I will send an invitation to Friends and Family who can decide it they wish to follow my diary!
